MAKS flight program covered 81 craft incl. 39 craft of 8 teams: Russian Knights, Swifts, Falcons of Russia, Rus, Baltic Bees, Colibri, 1st. Flight, ANBO.
These teams took part in MAKS 2019
1. Russian Knights is a team of the Russian Air Force that flies solo and formation on multi-purpose highly maneuverable Su-27P and Su-27UB fighters. It is the only demonstration team in the world that performs aerobatic formation flying on heavy fighters which are production samples.
2. Strizhi (Swifts) team fly solo and formation on multi-purpose highly maneuverable MiG-29 fighters. At MAKS Strizhi perform diverse aerobatic maneuvers solo, in a group and pair of planes, such as ‘pyramid’, ‘hammer’, ‘star’, ‘arrow’, ‘cross’, ‘wing’.
3. Russian Falcons is a team of the Russian Airforce that flies solo and formation on 4th generation Su-27 fighters. It is the only team that performs elements of a low-altitude aerial fight on combat planes in front of the audience.
4. Rus team of Voluntary Association for Assistance to Army, Air Force and Navy of Russia showed close formation flying at MAKS airshow flight program.
5. First Flight flying club (est. in 2009) is the only private aerobatic demonstration team in Russia that performs on YAK-52 and YAK-54 piston-engined airplanes.
6. Baltic Bees (see photos of MAKS 2015) is private civil team in the Baltic states. Its forte is group flying at extremely low heights and smooth performance of aerobatic maneuvers.
